Scholarship Overview

SFU Hy Aisenstat Scholarship are awarded by the Simon Fraser University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. SFU Hy Aisenstat Scholarship includes a yearly award of up to CAD 2800, which can be used for the purpose of tuition payment only. The scholarship does not include other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses, travel expenses, etc. Simon Fraser University usually looks for candidates with a holistic profile, and not just academic excellence. This scholarship is available to students from all countries. As for the academic eligibility criteria, candidates are expected to have 12th and undergraduate degree that can prove an academically excellent background, .

• Undergraduate students with experience in the hospitality industry who are returning to SFU

Max scholarship per student: CAD 2,800 => Rs 1,70,100

Conversion rate used: 1 CAD = Rs. 60.10 (last updated 17th January 2025)

Eligibility

• Undergraduate students with experience in the hospitality industry who are returning to SFU

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Preference will be given to applicants who have been employed full-time in the hospitality industry for at least one year

Application Process for this scholarship

• Applicants should include a letter detailing their employment history prior to commencing their university studies and a letter of reference verifying this experience must also be included with the application
• Apply online by logging in to the Student Information System (go.sfu.ca).
• Click on "Student Center".
• Go to Financial Aid and Awards (under Finances).
• Click on "Apply for Scholarships/Awards".
• List the scholarships/awards you want to apply for on your online application.
• Complete and submit your application.
• Supporting documentation (if any) are to be emailed to faawards@sfu.ca by the application deadline.
