Scholarship Overview

Stuart Hall Scholarship is offered by the University of Sussex . Stuart Hall Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is GBP 5000. An amount of pound 5,000 will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction . Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor degree. Eligibility

  • Applicants must have accepted an offer of a full-time place on a Masters in the Department of Media and Film
  • Applicants must have or expect to achieve, first class honours (70%) or 2:1 degree (60%-69%) from a UK university, or equivalent degree from an overseas institution

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • University is particularly interested in students focussing on areas of interest to Stuart Hall including Postcolonial and Diasporic Modernities; Cultural Studies; Race, Ethnicity and Visual Cultures; Radical Thinking on the Left
