  • Applicants must hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK First Class Honours degree
  • IELTS Academic- 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each component
  • PTE (Pearson Test of English): 64 overall with no less than 60 in each component
  • Duolingo English Test: 110 overall with at least 100 in each component

Additional Information

  • Conditions: Only available for international fee payers (including EU applicants) wishing to study a one-year full-time taught Masters, MRes or Masters by Research. Awards must be taken up in September 2025
  • How the scholarships are awarded
    • Each School selects a shortlist of applicants who they wish to recommend for the award. The University of Leeds Scholarship Selection Panel then meets to consider the shortlists and select the successful applicants and reserves.
    • Unsuccessful applicants can expect to be notified of the application outcome approximately 4 weeks after the application closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within 10 weeks of the application closing date. The University will use the data provided in the application form for internal selection and statistical purposes
  • Further information
    • Applicants must hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK First Class Honours degree and should be considered to be the ‘best of the best’ (eg, successful applicants are likely to be in the top 5% of their BSC/BA cohort). Applicants should either have graduated with the appropriate First Degree or be in their final year of study
  • Applicants will always be selected based on merit and ability
