The Eoin Murray Memorial Scholarship In Creative Writing is offered by the University College Cork to international students. The Eoin Murray Memorial Scholarship In Creative Writing is available for students from all countries who want to study Bachelors Degree in the Ireland at the University College Cork. Every year, the university selects Single candidate from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. Eligibility

• Applicants must be a current UCC Student to be eligible for this scholarship
• The holder of the scholarship will have the opportunity to perform their work at the end of the summer, which will be used as both a showcase for the recipient and as a means of contributing to the scholarship for the coming year. 
• Work submitted will be showcased on the eoinmurray.org. website. Publication in the UCC literary journal the Quarryman is an intended outcome of the scholarship. 

Application Process for this scholarship

• Submissions of fiction or creative non-fiction should be a maximum of 2000 words in length, while poetry should be a maximum of 120 lines, whether a single poem or a number of poems. If submitting both fiction and poetry then word counts are halved to 1000 words prose and 60 lines of poetry.

Application process:

• The winner will be selected from a shortlist compiled by a judging panel which will include the UCC Writer-in-Residence, the Head of the School of English and lecturers in Creative Writing, the Librarian, and friends and family of Eoin Murray.
• Students in the College will be invited to apply for the scholarship in the first semester of the academic year.
