Scholarship Overview

The Essex MBA Dean's Award is offered by the University of Essex to international students. The Essex MBA Dean's Award is available for students from all countries who want to study Masters Degree in the UK at the University of Essex. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is GBP 25000 at University of Essex. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

Master of Business Administration (Essex MBA). To be considered for this award, applicants must have a Bachelor degree. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS and PTE. As a part of selection process, applicants must have relevant work experience and also needs to appear for an interview. Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship:
LOR, CV and Official Transcripts.

Eligibility

• Students must be self funded
• Students must register at the University of Essex in October 2024 or January 2025 for the full-time or part-time MBA starting their first year of study at Essex in 2024-25
• MBA admission requirements:-
  • Applicants must hold 2:1 degree in any subject
  • A degree with an overall grade of between 55% to 60% OR 6.0 to 7.0/10 OR 2.4 to 2.8/4 depending on the degree institution
  • Applicants are also expected to have at least three years of relevant, professional work experience, post-graduation
  • IELTS:- 6.5 overall with a minimum component score of 6.0
  • PTE:- 58 overall with minimum component scores of 50
  • Applicants don’t need to have completed GMAT to apply for the Essex MBA but the university particularly welcomes applicants with a GMAT score of 600 and above
• Applicants are also expected to have an absolute minimum three years' of good quality, relevant, professional work experience, post-graduation, at the course start date. They must also evidence that they have experience managing people, projects or budgets, that they have been able to progress in their career so far and/or that they have been involved in additional entrepreneurial or community focused activities
• Students who are a non-standard applicant (which is typically an applicant who has an undergraduate degree below a 2:1, or an applicant who does not have an undergraduate degree at all) will require at least five years' of relevant managerial experience. They will also be required to write an essay (max. 2000 words) outlining a range of business situations that they have experienced and identifying what they have learnt from them, linking this to how their MBA studies will support them in similar situations in the future

• Official transcript(s), in English or a certified translation of your academic results to date, showing marks or grades, must be provided at the time students make their applications
• Proof of English language proficiency
• Copies of certificates for any degrees or other awards already completed
• Personal statement (no more than 500 words), including the following-
  • Your personal statement needs to show why you want to study at the University of Essex. Clear connections between your most recent study and experience with your chosen Masters courses are essential and you should provide a commentary on reasons for your choice. You should also demonstrate how postgraduate study will build on your current level of learning
• Two academic reference will be required
• CV demonstrating the work experience is required

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
