Eligibility

  • The Guess Admission Scholarship is awarded to student(s) with high standings in the subjects needed for admission to the first year of the Materials Engineering program
  • The Guess In-Course Scholarships are awarded to students completing their first, second or third year of Materials Engineering and are made on the basis of achievement a minimum average of 75 per cent. Extra-curricular/leadership qualities may also be considered
  • Candidates are required to complete a certification with excellent results in the grade 12 prerequisite requirements, with one of the following boards:

    • All India Senior School Certificate awarded by CBSE or
    • Indian School Certificate (awarded by CISCE) or
    • Year 12 State Board Exams with excellent results
  • PTE-an overall score of 65 with no part below 60.
  • TOEFL-a total score of 89 with 22 in each of Speaking and Writing.
  • DUOLINGO-an overall score of 120, with no subscore below 100
  • IELTS: The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0
  • All applicants to the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering are required to present senior level courses in:

    • Mathematics (including Calculus)
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • English
  • To be eligible for any scholarship or award granted solely on academic standing, a student must normally have completed not less than the normal full load (approximately 5.0 credits units) within the two sessions upon which the award is based
  • A student whose program in these two sessions contains repeated courses will only be eligible if the aggregate of new courses is equal to or greater than 5.0 credits
