Eligibility

  • Interview will be the part of the selection
  • Applicant must be coming from a country in the global south and unable to fund studies from other sources
  • IELTS- With minimum 7 in all bands
  • Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK Good II.i Honours Degree
  • The course is designed for graduates with at least three years of relevant postgraduate work experience in conservation, public policy, business or the voluntary sector, anywhere in the world. Professional experience does not necessarily need to be in the conservation sector
  • For India-
    • Applicants must have:
      • Bachelor Degree in professional subjects with the following study years from any institution recognised by Ecctis: 3 years: Business Administration, Business Management, Business Studies, Computer Applications, Statistics, Fine Arts, Laws^ (ONLY if this is 3-year postgraduate degree) 4 years: Engineering, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Planning, Science in Agriculture, Science in Nursing/ Nursing, Technology 5 years: Architecture, Laws^ (5-year first or integrated), and Ayurvedic/Homoeopathic/Siddha/Unani Medicine and Surgery with an overall grade of 70% or CGPA 7.3/10 or Bachelor of Arts / Science / Commerce (3-4 years) from a Well-Ranked Institution with an overall grade of 70% or CGPA 7.3/10 or Bachelor (Hons) degree from Ashoka University with an overall grade of 3.7/4

    • An academic essay of 500 words entitled “An analysis of the major conservation leadership challenges facing XXX.” where XXX is a conservation organisation with which you are familiar (e.g. Conservation Intl. or a local organisation)
  • Extra Materials
    • Widening Participation: University is working to improve contextualised understanding of the applications they receive. This course is piloting a mandatory supplementary application form
  • scholarship applicants should write and submit a financial case of a maximum 200 words to admin.conservationleadership@geog.cam.ac.uk explaining the funds that they have available, and any further funds required to take up a place on the course
