  • Applicants with a conditional offer can apply for the Scholarship but must receive an unconditional offer before a specific predefined date

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Application procedure: Eligible candidates must submit a copy of their UCL offer, CV and supporting statement to dentalpublichealth@ucl.ac.uk
  • Short-listed candidates will be also asked to write a 1000-word essay on a pre-defined public health topic
  • Awards will be made on the basis of experience, qualifications and future academic potential assessed by curriculum vitae and depending on the number of applications received, through online interviews
  • The Scholarships will be awarded upon the recommendation of an academic selection panel chaired by the Head of the Dental Public Health research group, Professor Richard Watt

Additional Information

  • The recipients will be expected to secure the remaining part of their tuition fees and to cover their living costs
  • Terms and conditions of the award:
    • The Scholarship may be held alongside other scholarships, studentships, awards or bursaries
    • The Scholarship cannot be transferred to another institution, nor deferred to a later year
    • The Scholarship will go towards the recipient's tuition fees; any remaining tuition fees will be payable by the recipient
    • The Scholarship payments will only be made if the recipient is fully enrolled on the MSc Dental Public Health programme (2023/24 entry)
    • All awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations for Scholarships, Awards, Bursaries, Prizes and medals
  • Scholarship applicants without an unconditional or conditional offer at the time of the Scholarship deadline will be excluded from the application process at this point
