Scholarship Overview

The Next Genius is a foundation, founded in 2014, which helps Indian students studying across North America and Europe to fund their undergraduate studies. This foundation is registered and located in Mumbai, India. At Wheaton College, undergraduate Indian students are eligible for either a full-time or a part-time scholarship. The scholarships that are offered to Indian students at Wheaton College are either waived off 100% or range between USD 10,000 – USD 20,000. 

Applicants who are offered a full-time fee waiver under the Next Genius Scholarship, will have to incur costs from their pockets for accommodation and personal expenditures. The Next Genius Full-Tuition Scholarship does not cover costs related to any other component except for the tuition fee only. While the Next Genius Scholarship Half-Tuition covers tuition fees and only USD 10,000 – USD 20,000 are offered. These scholarship amounts are one-time offered costs only and cannot be reimbursed for any other expense head. 

Indian students applying for admission to Wheaton College are eligible to apply for the Next Genius Scholarship Program. Applicants are assessed based on their academic qualifications and strengths. They may be required to submit some documents that are identical to those attached along with the Wheaton College application form. Test scores of TOEFL or IELTS and standardized test scores of ACT or SAT if required by the college will also be needed to assess the applicant’s academic background.

Eligibility

  • Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview. They are interviewed online
  • Applicants who are in Grade 12 (or gap year) 
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong creative problem-solving skills, both in academic and non-academic settings
  • Applicants must have a strong team playing and communication skills. Positive attitude, charisma & leadership skill
  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen, Indian citizens living abroad, OCI Card Holders, and Foreign nationals living/studying in India
  • Applicants have a strong desire to study abroad at one of our partner colleges. Desire to be an active member of the Next Genius community and give back to society
  • Students have an ability to pay for living costs at college for a duration of 4 years (up to INR 10 Lac per year towards housing, food, insurance, flights, books)
