Scholarship Overview

“Tomorrow's World†Excellence Scholarship is offered by the University of Kent to international students. “Tomorrow's World†Excellence Scholarship is available for students from all countries who want to study Masters Degree, Masters Certificate and Masters Diploma in the UK at the University of Kent. Every year, the university selects 24 candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is GBP 5000 at University of Kent. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade.

“Tomorrow's World†Excellence Scholarship is available for the Masters Degree, Masters Certificate and Masters Diploma. We have listed below the Masters Degree, Masters Certificate and Masters Diploma Programmes of University of Kent that are eligible for the scholarship:
• Finance (Finance and Management) - MSc,Quantitative Finance and Econometrics - MSc,International Finance and Economics - MSc,MA in American Literature and Culture etc as given below.

  • £3,000 for UK students (£1,500 per year for part time students)
  • £4,000 for EU students (full time only)
  • £5,000 for overseas students (full time only)

Student Awards

Number of students to be awarded: 24

  •  £3,000 towards the cost of tuition fees for fulltime UK students and a total of 18 awards will be available under this scheme for entry in September. (£1,500 per year will be available for part time UK students)
  • £5,000 towards the cost of tuition fees for fulltime overseas students (£4,000 for fulltime EU students) and a total of 6 awards will be available under this scheme for entry in September

Application Process for this scholarship

Students will need to submit the following documents: 

  • CV 
  • x1 supporting academic or professional statement. Your programme application's First Referee will be used for this criterion.
  • 200 word statement “why I have chosen to continue my studies at the University of Kent". Please upload your statement in Word or pdf format. Other formats will be rejected. Please include your current student ID as a part of your statement

Eligible applicants will be shortlisted based on academic achievement. Final decisions will also take into consideration the statement, CV, and the strength of the supporting statement from a University of Kent Tutor or lecturer

Additional Information

  • MArch students who are direct entrants from an UG degree are eligible. Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma Students are not eligible
  • Students in receipt of this award are not permitted to also hold the Graduate and Researcher College Scholarship, Civic Mission Scholarship or the Kent Alumni Tuition Fee Discount
  • Successful applicants to multiple awards must confirm which award they want and any remaining scholarships will be made available to a reserve candidate. This award cannot be used in conjunction with any other complete fee waiver
