Scholarship Overview

University of East London offers the UEL International Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of University of East London awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. UEL International Scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like MSc Data Science,MSc Computer Science. If we consider the amount of the UEL International Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as IELTS, PTE.

Eligibility

Applicants:

• For the MSc Computer Science programme: Must have a minimum BSc 2.2 Honours in a Science or Engineering subjects is required
• For MSc Data Science programme: Must have a minimum of 2.2 Honours in Physical Science, Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering or Humanities and Social Science related subject
• Knowledge of English and Maths is expected 
• The University also accepts the following:
  • 50% or above from the universities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Anna, Bharatiya, MSU Baroda or Bangalore;
  • 55% or above from other recognized universities
  • Overall CGPA of 5.8 (Gujarat Technological University)
  • Overall CGPA of 5.5 (Amity University)
  • B or above (Kannur University). (A = 75 to 89, B+ = 60 to 74, B =50 to 59)
• Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with 
  • Overall IELTS 6.0 - with minimum 6.0 in writing and speaking, and 5.5 in listening and reading(or recognised equivalent)
