Scholarship Overview

• UM financially supports academically top-performing UM bachelor students from non-EU/EEA countries to continue their studies in a master study programmes at UM. This in order to reward academic achievement and stimulate ambassadorship via continuous bonds with the UM community

• The difference between the institutional and statutory tuition fee
• Non-EU/EEA students who normally have to pay the institutional fee, now only need to pay the statutory tuition fee for the duration of the scholarship
• Duration of the UM Academic Achievement Scholarship

  • 12 months for a one-year master programme

  • 24 months for a two-year master programme

Eligibility

• All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • must hold the nationality of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands
  • do not hold a double nationality from an EU/EEA country or Switzerland
  • must have completed or are in the process of completing your bachelor studies at UM with an average GPA of at least 8.0
  • Applicants are not older than 35 years of age
  • Applicants agree to become an UM ambassador during and after your studies, by committing to share your experiences during at least one (information) session for students and/or other stakeholders
  • must have been (conditionally) admitted to one of the participating master programmes at UM for the 2024-2025 academic year
