Scholarship Overview

India First Year Excellence Scholarships is offered by the University of Alberta . India First Year Excellence Scholarships is awarded to Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is CAD 5000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. Students must have taken the 12th grade to be eligible for this scholarship.

Eligibility

• The student must be studying in Canada on a study permit with superior academic achievement entering the first year of a University of Alberta undergraduate degree program from India
• Selection would be based on high school academic standing
• Students must have graduated from a high school in India and have less than 24 IB, AP, or A-Level credits when beginning their undergraduate program at the University of Alberta
