University of Bristol Science and Life Sciences India Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by the University of Bristol . University of Bristol Science and Life Sciences India Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is GBP 3000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. The following documentation is required from students in order to apply for the scholarship: Essays.

  • The two top entries in each category will be awarded:
    • Awarding two £9,000 scholarships £3k per annum scholarship for a course at Undergraduate level within the University of Bristol’s Science Faculty
    • Awarding two £9,000 scholarships £3k per annum scholarship for a course at Undergraduate level within the University of Bristol’s Life Sciences Faculty
    • The awards can only be used as fee waivers for students who have been accepted for Science or Life Sciences degrees
  • An iPad each will be presented to the schools that the two winners are currently studying in

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to year 12 students based in India and entrants must be studying at least one science or mathematics or psychology subject. Competition entrants must be studying at least one science subjects in 12th Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology/Economics/Engineering Graphics, etc.

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must:

  • Be eligible to apply to any undergraduate course in the Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Bristol
  • Be classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes
  • Not already be in receipt of other funding which would equate to more than the full cost of tuition fees alongside a Bristol scholarship

Preference will be given to following candidates:

Applicants are assessed on the following criteria:

  • The argument of how your chosen subject area is relevant to developing and promoting solutions to the environmental challenge you have identified
  • Originality and quality of thought that has gone into your proposed solution
  • The larger impact your solution may have on the wider community
  • Your use of resources, information, and external sources

    • THEME B – LIFE SCIENCES:
      • Identify which in your view is the highest-priority environmental challenge for India between now and 2030. Should you be successful in your application to the University of Bristol, how would you use your chosen undergraduate-level life sciences degree to develop and promote solutions to these challenges?
  • Candidates must prepare and submit their own responses. Parents, friends, mentors, teachers, etc. must not undertake the work for them

  • The award cannot be combined with any other University of Bristol award or scholarship
  • Unless otherwise stated, scholarships will be given in the form of a tuition fee discount and are non-transferable. No cash alternative will be offered
  • Unless otherwise stated, undergraduate scholarships will be awarded for all years of undergraduate study taking place at the University of Bristol (not including placement years), subject to satisfactory attainment throughout the program
