Scholarship Overview

University of Twente offers the Holland Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of University of Twente awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Holland Scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like MSc Business Information Technology,MSc Electrical Engineering,MSc Embedded Systems,MSc Sustainable Energy Technology,MSc Mechanical Engineering,MSc Civil Engineering and Management,MSc in Chemical Engineering,MSc Biomedical Engineering ,MSc Nanotechnology,MSc Computer Science,MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management. If we consider the amount of the Holland Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS .

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a Holland Scholarship, applicants should meet all the requirements below.

• The program starts in the academic year 2022/2023
• Have not studied in the Netherlands before for a full degree (e.g. a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree), or they do not have a degree from an education facility in the Netherlands
• Applicants are from a non-EU/EEA country
• Applicants are excellent students (i.e. CGPA of 7.5 (out of 10))
• Applicants have been (provisionally) admitted to one of the qualifying study programs (Please note: After completion of the application, it may take up to 8 weeks before they receive the results)
• Applicants comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable)
• Must comply with the general English language test requirements:
  • IELTS of 6.5 and an additional 6.0 on the subscore of speaking skills
  • TOEFL of 90 and an additional 20 on the subscore of speaking skills
• Must not be eligible for a Dutch study grant

Application Process:

• Applicants who are already admitted to the University of Twente are eligible to apply for this Scholarship
• Applicants should apply to scholarship via Osiris platform
• If the application is accepted the student will receive an E-mail with a grant notice
  • This E-mail will include instructions on how to accept the award
