Scholarship Overview

University of Twente offers the Holland Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of University of Twente awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Holland Scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like BSc in Civil Engineering,BSc Industrial Design ,BSc in Mechanical Engineering,BSc Electrical Engineering,BSc in Business & IT,BSc Technical Computer Science,BSc International Business Administration. If we consider the amount of the Holland Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS .

• The scholarship amounts to € 5,000 
• The awardee will receive this in the first year of their studies
• This scholarship is meant as a compensation for study related costs. It is up to the scholarship student to decide how to spend the money. No costs (e.g. tuition fees) will be paid on your behalf.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a Holland Scholarship, you should meet all the requirements below.

• Your programme starts in the academic year 2023/2024
• You have not studied in the Netherlands before for a full degree (e.g. a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree), or You do not have a degree from an education facility in the Netherlands;
• You are from a non-EU/EEA country;
• You are an excellent student (i.e. CGPA of 7.5 (out of 10)).
• You have been (provisionally) admitted to one of the qualifying study programmes (Please note: After completion of your application, it may take up to 8 weeks before you receive the results).
• You comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable);
• You comply with the general English language test requirement Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the subscore of speaking skills
• You are not eligible for a Dutch study grant

Application Process for this scholarship

Application Process:

• Applicants who are already admitted to the University of Twente are eligible to apply for this Scholarship
• Applicants should apply to scholarship via the Osiris platform
• If the application is accepted the student will receive an E-mail with a grant notice
  • This E-mail will include instructions on how to accept the award
