Scholarship Overview

University of Warwick- Chevening Scholarship is applicable to only Bachelors,Masters courses. This is a merit based scholarship. University of Warwick- Chevening Scholarship award up to one time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students need to appear for IELTS and PTE.Students must have passed 12th and Undergraduate degree to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a University of Warwick- Chevening Scholarship. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Chevening scholarship applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after the award has ended.
  • Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit their application.
  • Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
  • Apply for three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices
  • The University of Warwick welcomes applications from candidates from all Chevening-eligible countries in any subject
  • Applicants must hold a minimum First class or upper Second only, with minimum 60-80% depending on your institution
  • Applicants with a 5-year LLB from a recognised Indian institution will be considered with a minimum of 55%-60% depending on the institution
  • Applicants must meet the english language requirements
  • Band A- IELTS overall 6.5, none below 6.0 and PTE 62 (including 59 + in all components)
  • Band B-  IELTS 7.0, two at 6.0/6.5 & rest 7.0+ and PTE 70 (including 59 + in all components)
  • Band C- IELTS 7.5, two at 6.5/7.0 & rest 7.5+ and PTE 75 (including 59 + in all components)
  • Band D- IELTS 8.0, two at 7.0/7.5 & rest 8.0+ and PTE 79 (including 70 + in all components)

Application Process for this scholarship

LOR: 2 Reference letters are recommended. Referees should be people who can comment on applicants' general suitability to receive a Chevening Award. Referees should be known to the applicant, either in an academic or professional capacity. They should not be relatives or close personal friends. Reference should cover the following:

  • Your contact details: address, email address, and phone number
  • How long have you known the applicant?
  • In what capacity do you know the applicant? (e.g. professional, educational, supervisory, voluntary, religious, etc.)
  • When did you last have regular contact with the applicant?
  • A brief overall endorsement of the applicant, including their:
    • Skills in leadership and networking
    • Personal, intellectual, and interpersonal qualities
    • Ability to complete a demanding academic program in the UK
