Scholarship Overview

University Scholarship is offered by the University of Pittsburgh . University Scholarship is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a semester basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is USD 20000. . Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. Students must have taken the 12th grade to be eligible for this scholarship. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English language examinations as well as standardised exams like TOEFL, IELTS and SAT. • University Scholarships range from $2,000 per year to $20,000 per year. University Scholarships are available for four years/eight semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient maintains a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and meets all other terms and conditions of the award.

Eligibility

• Criteria include weighted grade point average, the strength of the curriculum, class rank (if applicable), and results of the SAT or ACT. Activities outside of the classroom such as athletics, community service, leadership positions, etc. may still be reviewed but given secondary consideration
• A minimum TOEFL score of 100 with no subscore less than 21
• A minimum IELTS score of 7 with no subscore less than 6
• To retain this scholarship applicant must maintain a 3.0 GPA and meet all of the other terms and conditions of the specific award
