Scholarship Overview

UR Excellence Entrance Scholarship - New Spring 2022 is applicable to only Masters Degree and Masters Diploma students. This is a Merit Based scholarship. UR Excellence Entrance Scholarship - New Spring 2022 award up to CAD 10000 on a one time basis to various international students. This scholarship will be offered to 10 student every year. Bachelor degree is required for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Scholarship amount details

Max scholarship per student: CAD 10,000 => Rs 6,07,500

Conversion rate used: 1 CAD = Rs. 60.10 (last updated 17th January 2025)

• Each scholarship is valued at $10,000 which will be paid out over the course of the student's first year.

Eligibility

• Holders of these awards are required to be a fully-qualified, entering (be in
  their first semester) graduate student in their first Master’s degree program, in any discipline
• Nominees must have previously completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Regina
• Students must have a minimum of a first class average (equivalent to a minimum of 80% at the University of Regina) when they enter their program

Application Process for this scholarship

• No application is required
• Each Faculty may nominate 1 student to FGSR by confirming full eligibility, as described in these Terms of Reference

• APPLICATION & PROCEDURES:

  Applications are due electronically to FGSR by February 28 of each year. 

  Students must submit applications and unofficial transcripts to grad.funding@uregina.ca.

  Student references can submit their letter directly to grad.funding@uregina.ca. 

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
