  • The tuition fee contribution of $5,000 will be made directly to the Recipient’s UTS fees account as a credit applicable to the next session of study
  • Duration- The duration of the Scholarship is one session. Extension of the Scholarship is not possible

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
    • Must have completed a UTS recognised degree and met the UTS MBA entry requirements; and
    • Must be commencing the UTS Master of Business Administration (MBA) program (course code C04018) in the session immediately following the Scholarship selection; and
    • Be enrolled or intend to enrol in a minimum of 12cp in the session the scholarship is awarded, in the above course; and
    • Have achieved a minimum academic achievement of Distinction average (75%) in their qualification used as a basis for admission to the MBA
  • The general requirement for admission to postgraduate coursework study at UTS is an Australian bachelor's degree or overseas equivalent.

    However, for some courses other qualifications and experience may be considered, including:

     

    • graduate certificates, graduate diplomas or a TAFE diploma
  • IELTS (Academic/Online/OSR):  6.5 overall, writing 6.0
  • TOEFL (Internet-based/Home Edition): 79-93 overall, writing 21
  • PTE (Academic): 58-64 with a writing score of 50
  • ELP Waiver-
    • Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program subjects ‘English A: literature’ or ‘English A: language and literature
    • This is applicable if the Diploma Program was taught in a language other than English

    •  if required, your portfolio needs to contain between five and ten pieces of original work showing your design ability. Some courses may have additional portfolio requirements. Refer to the UTS Handbook for details. Your portfolio may be submitted as colour photocopies, photos, CD-ROM, DVD, web sites or showreels. Please do not submit copies of your original work, as they may not be returned.

  • Selection process
  • The recipient will be selected on the basis of:

    • Academic merit in the academic qualification used as basis of admission into the UTS Master of Business Administration degree;
    • Reasons for choosing to study MBA at UTS, as demonstrated in the scholarship application
    • Your personal aspirations present and future, as demonstrated in the scholarship application
    • Leadership skills and community involvement, as demonstrated in the scholarship application

     

  • The selection of the successful Recipient will usually occur early in the Autumn session and early in the Spring session each year

  • TERMINATION OF RECIPIENT’S SCHOLARSHIP
    • The Scholarship will terminate:
      • If the Recipient ceases to meet the eligibility criteria; or
      • If the Recipient breaches any conditions of the Scholarship; or 
      • If UTS determines that the student is guilty of misconduct and after consultation with the Director, Student Administration Unit, the delegate able to award the Scholarship deems that it is not appropriate for the Recipient to continue to hold the Scholarship
      • If the scholarship is terminated due to breaching any conditions or misconduct, the Recipient may be required to reimburse UTS for any scholarship payments already made
