Scholarship Overview

Varpu Lindstrom Graduate Award is applicable to only Masters courses. This is a merit based scholarship. Varpu Lindstrom Graduate Award award up to CAD 3,100 one time to various international students. 1 scholarship is awarded to student each year. . All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a Varpu Lindstrom Graduate Award. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

  • Current Master’s or doctoral York graduate student who engage in research in the history or women, or immigration history

  • The applicant's statement section should outline how the student's research is aligned with the scope of the award; and
  • Upload required material(s), merged into one PDF file, 1) an up-to-date CV, 2) a copy of transcript for the most two recent years of study (an unofficial transcript or records from student account are acceptable)
