  • Maximum value of the scholarship is determined by the length of the undergraduate degree for which you are awarded, and is calculated at a rate of $625/10 CP . For example:
    • $15,000 for a single degree (240 CP )

Eligibility

  • To be eligible, applicants must:
  • be either:
    • an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder
    • an Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen or international student who is completing or has completed 11 and 12 in Australia
  • be a student commencing university for the first time in Trimester 2 2024
  • have not undertaken/commenced any tertiary study (bachelor degree or postgraduate degree), with the exception of that undertaken as part of 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies program, Head Start)
  • have applied to commence at Griffith University in Trimester 2 2024 through either Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC); Universities Admission Centre (UAC), or via direct entry
  • receive an unadjusted ATAR of 95.45 or above (or equivalent rank OP 3 or above, and IB 37 or above). Griffith may use your Educational Disadvantage Assessment score* to adjust your ATAR rank

  • Payment
    • Instalments are based on enrolled credit points for the trimester, up to the maximum value. Payments are made directly to the recipients' nominated bank account up to six weeks after the census date of each trimester, subject to satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.
  • Please note: Payments made to those studying part-time may be taxable.
  • Non-financial benefits
    • Offer of membership to the Student Academy of Excellence (formerly known as Griffith Honours College -GHC)
    • Support for overseas experience ($2,000 travel bursary, approved and administered by the Student Academy of Excellence) available to students who accept the offer of membership

  • Terms & Conditions
    • To remain eligible for this scholarship, applicants will be required to:

      • remain enrolled in their undergraduate degree at Griffith University
      • maintain a minimum cumulative career GPA of 5.5 or above.

      The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.

      The following conditions apply:

      • Recipients must accept their admission offer from Griffith University.
      • A scholarship recipient may take leave of absence in accordance with university policy. Scholarship benefits are suspended for the period of leave of absence or deferment. A scholarship recipient who is not enrolled and is not on an approved leave of absence will lose their scholarship.
      • Recipients may be invited to feature in marketing materials to promote the scholarship.
      • Recipients must accept the scholarship offer, made via email, by the date indicated on the offer. They may be required to provide additional documentation to support their application.
      • Recipients who are on approved cross-institutional study continue to remain eligible for scholarship benefits and are required to provide documentation to prove cross-institutional study and academic load.
      • Recipients who continue directly into an add-on honours degree from their undergraduate bachelors degree may receive continued funding for the additional 80 CP degree.
      • Applications must be completed and submitted by the closing date
