Scholarship Overview

• The WISE scholarship provides opportunities for Woodbury students to engage both within and outside of the classroom
• WISE is made up of four components that provide opportunities for undergraduate students to engage in high-impact practices and earn up to two $1,000 tuition scholarships
• The four components are:
  • Civic Engagement
  • Study Away
  • Internship or Work Experience
  • Leadership

• The award is $2,000 for the academic year in which the recipient is enrolled full-time or $1,000 for the academic year part-time. The awards may be renewable on an annual basis depending on the balance of the Fund

Eligibility

• Applicants must have passed high school
• To be eligible for the WISE Tuition Scholarship a student must:
  • be an undergraduate student who is enrolled full-time;
  • complete a minimum of:
    • thirty (30) units, if the student entered WU as a freshman
    • fifteen (15) units earned at WU and thirty (30) units total, if the student entered WU as a transfer student
  • maintain a minimum cumulative collegiate GPA of 2.75
  • have begun as a student at WU in Fall 2015 or after
  • have at least one more semester after participating in a WISE-approved curricular or co-curricular activity before graduating

Application Process for this scholarship

• Applicants need to submit an complete application along with ePortfolio
• Submit a Digication ePortfolio which tells the WISE Committee about the applicant, their experience, and reflections about the experience in relation to the learning outcomes for one of the four WISE areas:
  • Study Away
  • Leadership
  • Internship/Work Experience
  • Civic Engagement
