World Robot Olympiad Scholarship is offered by the Illinois Institute of Technology . World Robot Olympiad Scholarship is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is USD 25000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship: Essays.

  • WRO scholars are eligible for a merit scholarship award of $25,000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study (five years for architecture).

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for an Illinois Tech WRO scholarship, candidates must qualify for undergraduate admission to Illinois Tech as a first-year student
  • Be a senior in high school, applying to colleges for the fall 2022 semester
  • Have participated in at least one full season during your junior or senior year on a WRO team (note: if a WRO team is in its first season, seniors can still apply for the WRO scholarship)

  • Note: The WRO Scholarship cannot be combined with other Illinois Tech merit scholarships such as Heald, Chicago Police and Fire, FIRST Robotics, VEX Robotics, Duchossois, Camras, Crown, Collins, Leadership Academy, International scholarship, and more
  • If a student earns multiple Illinois Tech merit scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest merit award for which the student is qualified, but will not combine multiple awards
