TOEFL Exam
TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is also one of the most popular exam used by candidates to prove English Language Proficiency for securing admission in universities abroad. TOEFL exam is conducted by The Educational Testing Services (ETS) globally. TOEFL exam scores are accepted by universities in USA for giving admission in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
PTE Exam
The PTE Academic exam is a computer-based English language test accepted by universities across the globe. The major difference between IELTS/TOEFL and PTE is that this exam focuses on day to day English rather than high-level English language. Thus, this exam is designed to assess the candidates' ability to understand the English language as spoken on daily basis. This exam is popular for countries like UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Standardised Tests

GMAT
GMAT or Graduate Management Admission Test is given by students wanted to pursue management or finance related courses. Majority of the B-schools globally accept GMAT scores for giving admission to students. This is a computer-based test used to measure the candidate's critical and logical thinking and mathematical skills. More than 5000 business and management institutes around the world accept GMAT scores.
GRE
The GRE General Test is one of the world’s largest assessment exams accepted for graduate admissions. It is conducted by Educational Testing Service (ETS). Over half-a-million candidates from more than 160 countries take the GRE General Test annually, across 1,000 test centers set up by ETS. A candidate is evaluated on his analytical writing, quantitative ability, and verbal reasoning skills.
SAT
SAT or Scholastic Assessment Test is given by students planning to pursue undergraduate courses in the US and Canada largely. The test is administered by the College Board globally. SAT test examines the written, verbal and mathematical skills of the candidates. Apart from this, students who want to pursue a particular course give SAT subject tests to get into those programs. Candidates should know when they should start preparing for the SAT exam.
ACT
ACT or American College Testing which is also accepted by educational institutes in US for giving admissions to undergraduate programs. This test evaluates written, verbal, mathematical and scientific skills of the candidates. From 2015, ACT test begin as a computer-based test.
Universities set the eligibility criteria themselves for the courses. Depending on the university and the course, you need to give the standardised test or language proficiency test. There are universities which also give admission without language proficiency test. Hi Swayam, it depends on the entry requirements of the university/college where you are seeking admission, if they are asking to submit scores for both these exams then you need to give them else go for the exam which the university is accepting. Also, getting a scholarship depends on a lot of fact
