Singapore is a consumer-driven economy and is buzzing with activity. The biggest sectors of telecom, banking, and logistics have ensured the presence of the biggest names in the world in the island country. Driven by innovation and research, the companies reach out to the universities often and conduct many internships. Budget Friendly Fee than Ohter Study Destinations

Singapore, though a costly city in its own right, still offers more economical options of higher education abroad. Leaving aside the proximity to India and reduced travel costs, both the tuition fees and the cost of living in Singapore is cheaper than studying in USA, UK or Australia.

While the tuition fees are not drastically less, the considerable difference in the conversion value makes it a rather affordable study-abroad destination for Indian Students.

Adding to its affordability are the grants that international students can apply for. Much like the domestic students, the international students are also eligible to apply to the Singaporean Ministry of Education for a tuition grant, after having been offered a place on a course. If availed, the grant would cover most of the tuition fees, making it even more affordable.

Easy Work Rules

Singapore’s immigration laws permit its students to work for up to 16 hours a week during school days and full-time during holidays. This, however, might depend on the university/ course you are enrolled in.

After completing your graduation, if you receive a job offer in Singapore, securing a work permit is not difficult. In case you are not able to get a job offer before you complete your studies, you still have an option of getting a long-term social visit pass which would give you 12 months of stay in Singapore during which you can look for meaningful employment.

To summarize, Singapore offers you the best of the world at a lesser price – which translates into a higher value for money. The universities are recognized around the world, have international tie-ups and based on innovative pedagogy. Moving ahead, it also offers you excellent career options, an urban lifestyle and a platform to the entire world. There are hence no reasons for not wanting to study in Singapore. So while you are at it, explore the universities in Singapore, the many options and start applying.
