Focus on gaining skills and not part-time.
Tips: College does matter, your skillsets matter. It is just a degree. You need to know what you wanna do and become. Don't focus on the part time jobs either. Yes , I said it. A guy who worked for hours. You have one year, equip maximum skill with what you can. Plan, later you can definitely find a full-time role as well.
Likes (Safety): They do take care of students. Always cared for mental health as well. Have support teams to take care. Everybody is in their dream world so nothing is gonna be an issue unless you act upon it. The pricing is getting out of hand right now. So all the best.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The job market is way low and people are really worried about getting into jobs full-time. Many work part-time just thriving to achieve something, I hope they do.
Competition is heavy and not like India. And yeh there is ATS which can easily reject your resume, so think before you act.

International Student's journey at University of Strathclyde has been enriching.
Tips: As an international student, I did experience a cultural shift when I arrived. However, as I immersed myself in the university and the city, I found that I gradually adjusted to the cultural differences. It's been a valuable experience that has broadened my cultural experience and personal growth. My journey at University of Strathclyde and in Glasgow has had its ups and downs but the overall experience has been enriching.
Likes (Public transportation): Great connectivity through trains and buses within the city and even from the outside. There is a railway station very close to the university and also buses from major routes generally go through the university. Buses and trains both are very frequent in a time interval of 5-10 minutes. The public transport in Glasgow is quite affordable with all the membership that they provide.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The job market is quite tough. Organizations don't come to the university to hire and you have to continuously keep applying for them online. There are multiple jobs that get posted on multiple platforms and you have to keep yourself updated about them. If you get a good job and the finances are settled then the UK is a great place to settle in.

Life in Glasgow is peaceful.
Tips: We as international students experience huge cultural change, but students should be well aware of cultural intelligence. Because food habits and the way they talk are quite different from what we experience in India. But people in Scotland are really welcoming, they greet you with smile even when you are walking alone on the streets. That's the best part I love about Glasgow. And coming to the university I am fully satisfied with how the curriculum, facilities and sports activities are structured but not satisfied with the multicultural dimension. However, the university is blessed with a lot many Indian students.
Likes (Safety): Here Scottish people are so welcoming. They can help you in any way you want. My experience on safety is I reach home very late from my work, I feel people here are super friendly unless you poke them in any other way, but all these 4 months I never came across any fatal news on safety grounds.
Dislikes (Indian Food): We don't find Indian origin food so often but we can see Indian stores here and there. But I only know one restaurant called charcoal where we find Indian Biriyani for 14.99 pounds. Of course we don't get the same taste as what we get in India, but it is worth experiencing the mix culture food.

Good support for foreign students.
Tips: Academically rigorous and very stringent marking system to help you to develop your faculties more. The library facility is excellent and so are the lecturers. The city is friendly and will help you navigate the pressure. Keep your fooding habit simple, mingle with the community, and try and get along with the church here. They do a lot of international cafes that help foreign students to learn the culture and mingle with everyone.
Likes (Safety): People are warm and crime rate is low. Police patrolling helps and street hooliganism is in check. There may be some stray incidents related to stabbing related to supporters of Celtic and Rangers Football clubs. It is better to avoid public display of support for these clubs.
Dislikes (Internships): No internships available at MBA level. There are external gig jobs available that will pay you on per hour basis ranging from £9-£10/hr. There may be some opportunities at the graduate level that will be available for info from the union desk. For masters again you can choose to join these available internships.

One of the best universities in UK! Strong academically with great faculties and supportive staff.
Tips: I would suggest to check for the jobs available for the experience you have before coming. Check for accommodation, as the demand is more compared to supply. Lack of diversity is there when it comes to international students, however faculty is great. I love their strategy course. It is one of the best.
Likes (Safety): I have found that people in Glasgow are quite friendly. You don’t feel left out coming to a place outside of your own country. They have good bus and rail transport system. I have been to food joints and pubs that are open till late nights, however I have never faced any safety issue.
Dislikes (Internships): I did not receive any internship offer while studying MBA. Probably it would be applicable for students doing a longer course with the university. However, I do feel that having internship opportunities with the industry you have experience in would be an added advantage to both the candidate and also the university, as it will only benefit both in the longer run.
