North Carolina State University has been an ideal place for me to learn and grown significantly.

Tips: What I have realised so far is that while the coursework here is challenging, it can also be rewarding. I've learnt to manage my academic commitments with extra curriculums and truly enjoy the experience offered here at NCSU. Students should use a planner or a digital calendar to help them out with their deadlines and planning. The exam patterns here are very different from those in India so it might take some time to adjust our faculty are helpful and you can reach out to them without any hesit...

It's a good college to study

Tips: Know about the current job market before joining the college. The courses are very good, but internships and full time are hard to find currently. Work before you opt for MS, as work experience matters more in the job hunt and understanding the courses.

The university provides with lots of activities and events.

Tips: I was very apprehensive and I joined campus after the orientation. Despite this, I would say that NCSU has become a second home. You will be encouraged to balance your academics with extracurriculars and there is something for everyone. Classes are competitive so take advantage of peer tutoring and office hours. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to the faculty. They are very supportive and will help you whenever they can.

Try to grab as many opportunities as you can.

Tips: After spending a decent amount of time here, I can see that NCSU has made a significant amount of progress in promoting diversity and inclusion which is seen through the multicultural celebrations around campus and representation in the student body as well. I did not receive any scholarships but there are a number of resources available for underprivileged and underrepresented students so speak with your guidance counsellors. We are encouraged to actively seek participation in numerous events, ...

Not worth it for the amount of fee we pay

Tips: Unlike India, here the college name or brand doesn't impact much. So find a good university at a reasonable fee. Also, check the course work before coming to college or connect with seniors and ask them for syllabus and study material or sources, it makes things easy after coming here.

North Carolina State University provides a great learning environment.

Tips: I have become much more adaptable and understanding after spending some time in this environment. I would say that people here are more independent and more private in terms of lifestyles and boundaries so you ought to keep that in mind. Aside from this, the research programs have given me opportunities to work on projects I am passionate about and with faculty who are experts in their fields.

Tips: I have transitioned a lot in terms of personality and being self-sufficient after arriving on campus which is something that happens to a lot of students over time. Tips: Students should know that life here is fast-paced yet vibrant. When I first arrived, I was a little intimidated, but once I got over the jet lag, I was able to adjust. Tips: Studying here at NCSU has been a really helpful and transformative experience for me so far. I have experienced a lot of learning and continue to do so even after graduation. I have had professors who are very knowledgeable and approachable and will help us any time. However, internship opportunities are less and it is somewhat hard to manage part-time at college. But, overall, the experience is good.
