The eligibility criteria for admission to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course at the Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE) in Pune is:Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised boardCandidates can also hold an AICTE-approved 3-year engineering Diploma in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 45% marksCandidates can also pursue the AME course if they are eligible for B.Tech in any stream  During the three years of the course, students will cover various subjects like aircraft building, aircraft maintenance, navigation, aviation security, and flying aircraft.  The average tuition fees for the 3 year course are 2.4-4 lakh.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course at Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology (TIAT) require candidates to have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board or university. Candidates who meet this educational requirement are considered eligible to apply for the AME course at TIAT. The selection process for admission to the AME course at TIAT is conducted through an In-House Process, where candidates are shortlisted based on certain criteria and called for an interview session. Qualified candidates are then selected for admission to the course.
