Aalborg University offers a wide range of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The admission deadlines at AAU generally depend on the level of study. Therefore, international students are advised to check the last date for admission before applying. The online applications are open for Sep 2024 intakes. Mar 15, 2025 is the last date to apply for undergraduate programs at AAU. Meanwhile, Mar 1, 2025 is the deadline to apply for graduate programs.

According to major ranking bodies like University Ranking THE (Times Higher Education),  and Global Universities US News & World Report, the Aalborg University is ranked among the top universities in the Denmark. According to University Ranking THE (Times Higher Education) 2024, the university ranks #201-250 globally. As per the World University Ranking QS 2024, the university ranks 336 while US News & World Report ranks the university at 267. International students who are non-EU/EEA citizens must pay an application fee. International students who hold a residence permit are exempted from paying the application fee. The Aalborg University application fee is 780 DKK/INR 9,295. One application fee covers all applications (max 3) at AAU for the specific intake. The university will refund the application fee if they are admitted and begin their studies at the university.*DKK/INR = 11.92
