The main difference between the old and new syllabus for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) are that the new syllabus has more subjects, including Quantitative Aptitude in Part 4. The Viva Voce section has been removed from the new syllabus, starting with the November 2023 session. The new syllabus of CSEET only allows entry to the CS course through CSEET. In the new syllabus, all papers except Paper 4 have 20% case-based objective-type questions and 80% descriptive questions. The new syllabus has two elective papers instead of one paper. The new syllabus has two groups instead of three.

Whether BBM is better than BCom depends on individual preferences, career goals, and specific circumstances. Bachelor of Business Management degree graduates are prepared for entry-level management positions in various industries and sectors. They are equipped with skills in leadership, decision-making, and business strategy. On the other hand, BCom graduates have opportunities in fields such as accounting, finance, banking, insurance, and commerce-related roles. They may pursue careers as accountants, auditors, financial analysts, or tax consultants.

The three-year BCom course curriculum of Madras University follows the semester system, which actually gives the students opportunities to learn several subjects. In every semester, they study core and electives. The semester pattern facilitates constant assessment and thereby helps the students to organise their work effectively. The design of the programme is based on the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), which allows the flexibility of being able to choose subjects of interest that support one's career paths.

Yes, the BCom course is available at Madras University. The three-year full-time undergraduate programme also offers the course in various specialisations, such as Accounting & Finance, Corporate Secretaryship, Computer Applications, Professional Accounting, Information Systems Management, etc. Admissions to this programme are purely based on merit based on how well the candidates perform in their Class 12 qualifying examination. A curriculum designed and offered by this university is well-balanced to prepare the students properly so that they can face the corporate world completely.

Candidates seeking admission to BCom from Madras University can get direct admission to the programme as the university and its affiliated colleges accept the last qualifying examination scores and do not accept any entrance examination rank and scores for its UG programme admissions.
