If you are looking for colleges in Mumbai itself, there are few very good colleges like Xavier Institute of Communications, University of Mumbai, Take One school of Mass Communication and Manav Rachna Educational Institution. There are no specific acting institutes for in Allahabad but there are some great theater groups that provide training to aspiring actors and are doing a good job in the field. Some of them are:
1. Kala Bhoomi
2. Allahabad Theatre

Educational qualification does not play any role in pursuing a career in acting. You just need to have the right skill-set to be an actor. Some tips for becoming a successful actor:
1. Get the right training: Although acting is a natural skill but it is important to brush up your skills in terms of diction, clarity of voice, voice modulations, emotions etc. An acting course from an acting school like Anupam Kher's Acting Academy, IIFT, AAFT, etc. would help you to polish your skills. You can also pursue theaters for the same.

2. Truthfulness in learning the role play
3. Flawless diction and multiple language skills
4. Experience and the best possible in theatre
5. Formal training in acting if possible
6. Knowledge of film making and direction nuances
Along with the above basic requirements to become an actor in films and for the acts of theatre as well, I can suggest that an actor needs to perform the role of others so, the actor needs to have a keen observation as well as adaptability skills which come to action within a fraction of a second.
