The job prospects for public relations and corporate communication are high as there are very less people skilled and made for smart PR and corporate communication. I shall suggest taking a job in case you are getting a good one. If you have strong interest in pursuing higher education in this field then education is always the best option. You should go ahead pursuing higher education from a good place where the two streams get stronger and when you complete the next course, you must be an improved and strong candidate for a job.
Jobs will always be there in these fields and a specialisation in these will lead you good companies and w

When it comes to Advertising we need to see the reality that each and everything in Media is Advt Driven and Marketing powered. The same applies on the Jobs as well. There are Jobs all over for those who justify the claim based on skill sets.
Though, government Jobs are not easy to find or grab. There are Lacs of people who apply for the Jobs and there are a few hundred out of Lacs who qualify to teach in schools. The government has nothing actually to do with our own self. We can stay on the better side by giving regular tests, guiding notes, and studies in advertising, TV and PR.

The sharing of this question is that the Career Prospects for Public Relation Management and Corporate Communication are quite good. PR is an always emerging field, because there is always a lack of competent Communicators to make a smart and strong Public Relation, whereas on the other side we see the Corporate Communication as an integral part of modern day Public Relations Management. An M.Sc in Advertising Management is a very popular-innovative as well as the less taken domain of studying Mass Media or Mass Communication. While doing the course, one learns how to see the NEED, Plan, use the USP and create USP of the product in hand. The management of advertising of a particular product is to be done to see the impact. Along with this, the question demands response to career prospects for public relations. Public Relations, on the other hand, has similar notions. The jobs that can be done abroad or in India after pursuing an M.Sc advertising management as well as a Public Relations Management degree are:

Advertising management has a better scope as the advent of radio is not very long. The radio industry is declining day by day in various parts of the world (recently being shut down in Norway). On the other hand, no new ventures are coming up in the radio industry. On the other hand, advertising has the scope as long as there are markets. On the other hand, due to the expanding markets, this sector is poised to grow.

Hi Kaushik,
I'd suggest that if you want to ultimately pursue media management or advertising later, it'd be better if you do a graduate course in mass communication or mass media. This shall give you more knowledge in the areas you're interested in and will also open up other opportunities for you.
