The AEEL exam is conducted in a computer-based mode (CBT). The total duration of the exam is two hours and the total number of questions is 80. The sections or subjects from which questions are asked are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. While the core Science subjects will carry 25 questions each, the English section will carry five questions. Each correct question fetches three marks and there is negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

The AEEL 2024 appliction process was conducted till April 30, 2024. The application process was conducted for a duration of one month. Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, Coimbatore may extend the last date of application process based on student requests or other factors. Moreover, in case the AEEL 2024 exam is conducted for more than once, the application window will open separately for each time.
