In Aeronautical engineering, we study different aspects of a flying object. Avionics, aeroengines, structures and metallurgy. These and many more. You can, in fact, download the complete syllabus and get to know the details.

Hello Nuthan,
In India, presently, opportunities for employment on core aeronautical engineering jobs are pretty less. Newly appointed CEO of Infosys too is an aeronautical engineering graduate from IIT Mumbai but he is into the software. However, it can be stepping stone for doing MBA or higher studies. Few employers in core jobs are Armed Forces, DRDO, ISRO, etc.

UG and PG Aeronautical Engineering degrees prepare students in designing and building aircraft and spacecraft. Aeronautical engineers handle design, manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft, helicopters & UAV. There are lots of good career opportunities on completion of Aeronautical engineering. With increased emphasis on Make in India Initiative and opening of Defense sector to private industry, opportunities for good Aeronautical engineers for next two decade are very high. You can join DRDO/ ISRO/ Aviation manufacturing or its ancillary units/ Airlines/ Indian Air Force/ Educational Institutes/ R&D Units / IT companies etc

Robotics will be a better option as it consists of mechanical, electrical and computer science engineering which deals precisely with the construction, design, application and operations of Robots. This is the field right now which has got applications almost everywhere. More and more automated machines are taking place of humans to work in a hazardous environment and efficiency is also high. The use of robots will increase in the future and it holds a promising career for someone really interested in the field.

Seeing present scenario, computer science is far better than aerospace engineering in India. For aerospace, only service based companies are there to work and salary can never satisfy you.
Aerospace engineering requires a lot more analytical skills than computer science.
If a person is really interested in aerospace engineering and he is confident that he'll be the best engineer then only he should opt for aerospace engineering and after graduation, he must go for higher studies then only aerospace engineering can be beneficial.
While CS engineering provides a lot more opportunity. As we can see we are moving towards digitalization, every

The scope of aerospace engineering depends on which area you want to specialse in. Like as follows:
HAL (Mostly Aircraft Structures)
NAL (Aerodynamics and Materials)
ISRO- Well ISRO does not have a separate recruitment for Aerospace engineers, you'll have to look into materials, electronics, and structures.
And there are private companies like GE, Honeywell, etc.
Although my suggestion would be to never settle just after Bachelors in aerospace, this is a very vast stream and Masters is kind of mandatory. A Bachelors pay scale may range between Rs. 20,000-45,000 per month. However, a Masters can actually increase the pay by about 3 times.
