Aeronautical Engineer

In order to become an aeronautical engineer, you will also need the emotional and intellectual capacity to complete all of the necessary academic work.

Students need to appear in JEE Main to get the admission in UG programme. For admission to PG engineering courses like M.Tech candidates have to appear in GATE exam.
All IITs and NITs conduct the engineering programme in aeronautical engineering.
The student who had a B.Tech degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or mechanical engineering can get the admission in M.Tech with aeronautical engineering.

There are several universities and colleges that offer aeronautical or aerospace engineering courses. Amongst them, the most famous ones are the IITs, SRM, and PEC University of Technology. For the government colleges, you have to give the JEE Mains Examination and obtain a reasonably good rank. For entry into IITs, the JEE Advance examination has to be given and the rank in that should be less than 3000 to get Aerospace in an IIT. For the private Universities, however, the admission criteria vary depending on the institution.
This is for obtaining B.Tech in aerospace. However, you can also do an undergraduate course in related fields such as mechanical or computer science and then pursue a master in Aeronautical. Although the field of specialization will be restricted by your undergrad field.

As for the job opportunities are concerned, well there are reservation everywhere but this does not restricts you from getting a good job opportunities provided you have good academic track record and fulfill other requisites as require by the companies based on the vacancies available.

Seeing present scenario, computer science is far better than aerospace engineering in India. For aerospace, only service based companies are there to work and salary can never satisfy you.
Aerospace engineering requires a lot more analytical skills than computer science.
If a person is really interested in aerospace engineering and he is confident that he'll be the best engineer then only he should opt for aerospace engineering and after graduation, he must go for higher studies then only aerospace engineering can be beneficial.
While CS engineering provides a lot more opportunity. As we can see we are moving towards digitalization, everywhere we are seeing computers.
The scope of computer science is much better than aerospace.
But if you love flying you should definitely go for Aerospace as there will be much less competition as compared to CSE. All the best to your career!
