There are certain ways to join Air Force depending on your qualification. For 12th passed students, NDA and TES entries are open for Airforce. For Graduation with B.Tech there are technical entries through AFCAT. For common Graduates there is option for either CDSE or AFCAT for flying branch. You must have taken PCM subjects in class 12th to be eligible for Air Force.

This time too, for Gaganyan, it is expected that test pilots if IAF would be selected by ISRO to become astronauts to be launched from Indian soil.
