Of course yes. DRDO recruits professionals from different fields to work in its wide spectrum of research labs. You will find different vacancies on its website. Normally, it's the GATE score that will decide your merit in the list of candidates shortlisted for the interview stage.
Best wishes to you.

Your brother can definitely seek admission for course in AME since it is based on the marks obtained in 12th with PCM as the subjects but for getting admission into a degree course of aerospace or aeronautical engineering your brother will need to appear for one or the other entrance exams for admission to engineering colleges. Well, all the branches in engineering is good and there is highly any chances of comparison between these three. Aerospace is completely a different field from chemical and petroleum. But, all three branches have good job opportunities. Choose as per your interest.

You can't say which is a better branch between these two because all in all, both have similar syllabus and course structure. Practically, aeronautical is the name of the course and aerospace is the name of the industry. Go for the one in which you interest is.
Good luck.

Aerospace branch is unique and quite different from other engineering branches. The ongoing trend is towards computer science and engineering. Yet, if you are interested in aerospace, then you can expect almost equal or even more package from rest branches!
It only depends on how much capable you are in that field.
Good luck!

Colloquially speaking aerospace is the name of the industry which is in the field of manufacturing of aetonautical components. Aeronautical Engineering is the name of the subject. However in India, both these words are interchangeably used meaning one and the same thing.
