IIT Bombay is the most preferred choice of students for this branch. For general category one must have rank of 800 or better and for your category you must have rank of about 250.

It's actually very simple. Fundamentally, aerospace engineer or any other branch, process is same. One needs to pass 12th with good marks and then clear the CET of your state for admission with good marks to get the college of your choice.

No, I am afraid not. These days almost all states and deemed to be universities have some or the other CET for admission. Perhaps only exception is Tamil Nadu.

As far as fees are concerned, basic fees are similar in both these courses. However, placements are far more superior in marine than in aeronautical engineering. I would like to advise you join marine engineering for better placements.

IIT Bombay is perhaps rated as topmost institute for aeronautical engineering branch. Here to get admission one needs to be around top 1000 if within 500 then better.

Invariably many deemed to be universities indeed provide scholarships to students. But it's limited to the tuition fees and one needs to have excellence performance academically. I would not advise you to depend on it. It would be better if you look for education loan.

You are Maharashtrian, studied in Telangana and seeking admission in a college in TN. I only wish, this happens in India. It actually is happening in medical but unfortunately not in engineering. I am afraid your dream of getting admission in MIT will remain unfulfilled since only domiciles of TN can get admission.

Your rank in SRMJEE is indeed quite good. In addition, this institute has good reputation academically as well as getting students placed after completion of course. Hence I feel that you could take admission if you are getting it.

No, B.Tech in aerospace / aeronautical engineering is similar to any other branch of engineering. A student needs to take PCM at 12th and score minimum of 75% marks to become eligible for admission. Of course you will need to clear JEE Mains and JEE Advanced to get actual admission.
