Hello Jai,
Actually, there is no relationship between aerospace engineering and astronomy. Presently in India, opportunities in both are limited. However, the aerospace sector is poised for tremendous growth in years to come. On the other hand, astronomy is basically research-based and job opportunities are not expected to grow. My vote would be for aerospace engineering.

Hello Meenakshi,
You have obtained a very good rank in KCET. I am sure with this rank, you will get admission in perhaps any branch and college that you desire. The available data indicates that cutoffs last year in this branch in this college were about 6000. Hence, do not worry.

I will openly say that there are about only 20 out of every 100 Engineers, working in somewhat related fields, rest 80 either change their stream or work in business development region. You will certainly never get a chance to experience your engineering skill. Even with Masters Degree in hand, you will hardly find any job for fresher. Government organisation's like ISRO, NAL, ADA, DRDL will hire only if you clear GATE exam and their vacancies are about only 510 seats/ per year for aero in particular and in some years they don't hire too. People says private companies like Airbus ( manufacturing and R&D), Tata-Pilatus ( manufacturing),

Hello Sanjay, Presently in India, aerospace industry is not developed to the extent desired and hence opportunities for employment are limited mostly to government sector. Government too recruits only limited fresh engineers and hence it's said that in India, Aeronautical engineering branch is not a good choice.
