Aerospace engineering is good as compared to civil engineering. You should opt for aerospace which is widely demanded nowadays. There are less no. of colleges for aerospace so you can understand how it is more important to be an aerospace engineer which creates difference b/w this branch and other branches.
Thank you.

Dear Parikshith,
Lateral entry in B.Tech allows you admission in second year of B.Tech after 3 years of Diploma after class 10th or 2 years of Diploma after class 12th or B.Sc (Non-Med. Or Computer Science). You can appear for LEET exam, or go for university specific exams or even go for direct admission subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Universities like LPU, DIT, Mangalyatan, Chitkara, etc. are offering B.Tech Lateral entry. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students, apart from good placements. Some even offer scholarships to meritorious students. Good luck.

To appear in Aerospace Engineering or any of the entrance examination of undergraduate engineering courses, it becomes compulsory that the student must have passed the higher secondary school certificate examinations with the subjects specialised in Physics, Chemistry & Maths. However some courses demand the need of Biology also which may or may not be considered. The percentage requirements are conditional and they vary according to the university or college sometimes even depending on the state which you apply.
