B.Tech and M.Tech from the same branch is the best option because in that, you have a vast experience in that field that would be beneficial in every form.

There is no question that aerospace engineering is good, and also packages of this branch is unbeatable, but there seats are limited as well as jobs are limited there, but the mechanical branch is the evergreen branch.

For this course, there is no scope in India, but yes in other countries there is a wide scope for such type of courses.

Hello Shamsher, The fees at this very old and grand institute are approximately Rs. 50 K per semester. Total fees, hence would be in the range of Rs. 2 Lacs. Aerospace engineering is perhaps the oldest branch here. The fees are likely to change marginally every year, and I would advise you to contact MIT directly for knowing details.
