Hello Shivani,
No, you cannot. The eligibility to appear for GATE for a B.Sc student is to have an M.Sc degree.
Only BE/B.Tech and B.Arch students are directly eligible without post graduate degree.
All the best!

Aerospace engineering is concerned with designing and building aircraft and spacecraft. Aerospace engineering can be divided into two specializations: Aeronautical engineers handle design, manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft, helicopters & UAV etc and astronautically engineers, who design spacecraft, rockets, satellites, and others. Aeronautical engineering was the original term for the field. Both Aerospace Engineering and Aeronautical Engineers are niche branch of engineering with lot of similarities in syllabus with almost 90% overlap.

Of course, it's a good idea to do aerospace engineering from IISC where there are high chances of taking up into ISRO. But all at the end depends upon the skill you have and ability to be taken up.

Dear Khanisk,
If you are interested in aerospace, please join IIT or NIT or go abroad for studies. Most of the best is doing aerospace engineering in abroad like USA, UK, etc. Aircraft industry in India is not developed so there is limited chance of getting job in India.

Hello Rao,
My personal opinion is that graduation in mechatronics would be a better option. Though of course, aeronautical engineering is equally good. But I feel there would be fewer jobs in this branch in near term.

Hello Mahesh,
Normally, every state has common entrance test for admission to engineering colleges. Hence it's only CET through which you can get admission. Similarly for admissions to NITs it's JEE Mains which is the qualifying exam.

Hello Aman,
Why are you afraid of JEE. First try with your potential how much you have, if you crack the exam then OK and if not, then don't need to worry as you can get a good college under 3 lakhs fee and we are here to give you suggestion about good colleges. Firstly, you should try for JEE as many other colleges take admission through JEE score so if your marks are good and if you are not qualified then you can get admission anywhere.
All the best.
