Branch selection is always the biggest dilemma a student encounters, so select that branch only which fascinates you, rather than going for scopes go for interest, if you have interest in something you can turn something big out of small things, however considering your branch choices it will be better for you to go for IT, as per the latest scenario.

Almost all NIT's and IIT's have this branch. For admission here, you will have to score well in JEE Mains and Advanced. For colleges in Maharashtra or many other states you will have to appear for entrance exam of that state.
Best wishes

It's very good to see that you already have a dream. It's gr8 definitely. In ISRO, you must join after your graduation in Aerospace engineering or PG in some of the science subjects. But first begin by studying well and systematically.

For admission in IIT's, diploma is Considered as equivalent to 12th. Of course you will have to go through two tier admission process. In many states, after diploma, you can seek admission directly in second year. Surely if you score well in Entrance Test, you will get admission.

IIT Mumbai is one of the oldest Institute of India. It's also known for good faculty in Aeronautical Engineering branch. I feel you should try to get admission here.
