Many companies recruit aeronautical or aerospace engineers. HAL, BEML, BEL, DRDO and Armed forces. Even IT Giants like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. recruit aeronautical or aerospace engineers. Job opportunities are increasing every year in India.

It is a good choice to pursue aerospace engineering in IIT. These institutions have a well-oiled machinery for enabling placements.

The process of taking admission in aeronautical engineering is exactly as same as that of any other branch of engineering. For NIT, IIT or CGFI, you have to go through JEE Mains. For different colleges in different states, you can go for CET exam of that state.

The best college for PG in aeronautical engineering is IISc in Bangalore. After this, IIT's followed by NIT's. After this, there are some private colleges.

Admissions to NIT's is through JEE Mains. Admissions to IIT's is through JEE Advanced. For Advanced, one has to go through Mains. For colleges in states, one has to go via CET.
