Diploma courses are skill oriented. Hence normally distance education dies not help as lots of practicals are involved. I, therefore, feel that there would be hardly any Institute for distance in diploma.

Jain University has earned quite good reputation. However for Aerospace, IISc, Bangalore is the best followed by IITs. But then who can guess as to what happens after four years from today? If you are getting admission here and not at other places then do take admission.

Normally, lateral entry is granted in govt colleges or private colleges but SRM is a university and hence information is not very clear. please contact them directly. I am giving you the link:

Information about your intended college is not readily available but in general fee structure in private engineering colleges is around 50K to 1L depending on different facilities.

With the data provided, you will definitely get but admission in one of the colleges. I suggest you take either of civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.

It's nice to know that you have completed your graduation in Aeronautical Engineering. I suggest you to look for advertisement of DRDO or ADE or IAF for job. Else, initiate process for doing MBA.

For admission in colleges in Pune, you have to come via MHT CET. For colleges in Bangalore, you have to come through Karnataka CET or COMEDK or JEE Mains.

Yes, I would advise you to join RVCE, if you are getting admission there. After completing graduation, you can prepare for GATE.

You have got great marks in boards and reasonably okay rank in CET. Fee of private colleges is very high. Attempt giving first preference to all govt colleges and then only private colleges.
