Both are equivalent. Through aerospace engineering you can also go for designing part of aircrafts. The starting job you may get is of aircraft maintenance if you pursue aircraft maintenance engineering course but with aerospace engineering there are other options also.

Hi,
There is no restriction like that as engineering is a technical branch and you are not necessarily flying. So, go ahead with the course and do well.

If you are planning to do B.Tech aeronautical engineering it will make no difference whether you take CS or electronics as fourth subject along with PCM subjects in 12th as basic of these subjects will be covered to you in first two semesters of engineering. You may chose any based on your interests.

Hello Kunal,
Aeronautical engineering is based on aircraft maintenance engineering, it's a very good branch if you want to work on big machines, aerospace engineering is all about space engineering after aerospace you can get job in ISRO or NASA if you got really good grades. Now, it's on you how much hard work you can do. Both are awesome field if you have passion for aviation just go for it.
Also, consult your mentor who knows you better like my mentor, MS. Chetna helped me to reach my goal in life.

Try to score maximum in theory, you should give more importance to theory. After you feel that you are fine with the theory then you can concentrate on CET.
I feel if you are interested in aeronautics then you better choose mechanical because the base branch for all the aeronautics and aerospace is mechanical. Later, if you are interested then pursue Masters abroad by taking specialization in aeronautics.

At par with EEE or ECE and in few industries more than them. You can not define the salary based on the branch. It goes by your capability and the company hiring you!

IIT, Powai is the best institute for doing aeronautical engineering. Reservation in IITs is based on standard Government of India reservation policy. There is no reservation for BPL students. If you are not in a position to support your education, you may evaluate doing B.Tech in aeronautical engineering from IIST. Admission is based on JEE Mains score. There is no fee and you also can get a scientific officer job in ISRO.
