The eligibility criteria to get admission for B.Tech in aeronautical or aerospace engineering is PCM subjects in class 12th. But, computer science as an additional subject will benefit you during engineering studies. Therefore, you can opt for PCMC.

If you are planning to appear for civil services examination conducted UPSC after completing engineering degree, then your job profile as an IAS, IPS or IFS, etc. will not have engineering roles and responsibilities.
Aerospace engineers does not have dedicated cadre in Indian Engineering Services Examination conducted by UPSC.

Normally, space is aerospace in Indian context. ISRO has sponsored one college of aerospace studies. However, there are other related topics too concerning space.

Hello Jonathan,
To get into IIT B, you have to clear two exams. Firstly JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced. Of course, you have to score above 75% in your 12th also. Then, for specific course in a specific IIT, you need to be in a relatively higher percentile bracket.

Hello Varun,
Aerospace engineering in IIT M, has good reputation besides placement record. Cutoffs for this year's JEE Mains has not been announced yet. You need to be in club of 70 percentiles minimum to get choice of your liking.

Prospects for aerospace engineers are increasing every day. With the current Aero India show in Bangalore, many private companies are announcing tie ups with big companies from US and Europe. In addition you can get job in IAF, BEML, TAS, DRDO, HAL, Reliance, etc.
