In a majority of the cases, the astronauts are generally selected from pilots, as medical fitness needed for an astronaut is much superior to that of a pilot. Aerospace can help you in getting jobs in aerospace industry like HAL, ISRO and other private airlines / manufacturers.

Hi,
There is no minimum cutoff marks, but it is good to score maximum marks or rank as it can increase your chances to get admission in best engineering college.

Generally medium of instructions of aerospace engineering is English in majority of engineering colleges in India. You may find some initial difficulties in pursuing engineering in English but you can overcome these difficulties. I was from a Hindi medium educational background but could easily do BE, M.Tech and MBA in English with bit of an extra effort.

Yes you can.Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, an autonomous institute under department of space, Government of India is the best institute for aerospace engineering. Institute conducts B.Tech in aerospace and avionics with intake of 60 seats for each course. Admission to course is based on JEE (Advanced) conducted by CBSE.

Aerospace Engineering is niche branch of engineering with limited scope and job opportunities in comparison to IT branch. But it is a very interesting branch with lot of innovation and research. If you want to work on cutting edge technologies then you may prefer aerospace engineering over IT.
