With this JEE Advance rank, you will surely get Aerospace Engineering in IIST Thiruvananthapuram. Last year General cut-off was 58 marks in JEE Advanced exam and for OBC it was 51.

You can appear for Jee Advanced for admission in Aerospace at IITs apart from that you can also think of IIST Thiruvananthapuram in kerala as it is solely dedicated to the study and research of Outer space and also It is mentored by ISRO.

If you want to get into research programme M.Sc, then I think a rank of up to 200 will be fine, but there will be a detailed technical interview. For the course programme (ME), a rank of 30 may or may not get you a seat. A rank of under 10 definitely will, this is generally applicable for all the different streams of GATE through which the Aerospace programme at IISc admits students. The course programme is fairly intensive with 15 courses and A.M.E. Project. My friends used to stay very busy with so much coursework. The research programme has 1 to 1.5 years of research involved and 1-2 publications are expected, course requirement is

It can't be decided on the basis of marks since marks vs rank statistics change every year depending on the level of difficulty.
If your JEE advanced rank is below 8000 then you surely get a seat .This year, rank fall down to 9500 I guess since lots of seats left vacant after final round and then they did spot round admission .
But on being safer side try to get below 8000. All the best for your exam

I had a similar situation like this last year and I was just feeling like if I had been able to score 15 more then my rank would have boosted by 1500 to 2000 approximately. So you kind of feel dejected and you feel like on the one hand that you are qualified to be an IITian and on other hand, you think you won't be getting your desired branch or desired IIT. Analysing your situation, I can surely help you out with best possibilities. If you are really possessive about getting into IITs then you will have to compromise a bit either branch-wise or IIT-wise. The best options for IITs are as follows. If Top IIT is what really matters to yo

Make sure that you are an OBC-NCL candidate not only OBC, then based on your percentile which you are saying, your chances of getting admission in NITs are good but still you have to wait for few rounds.

The best US colleges for Aerospace Engineering include California Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Michigan, the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign, etc. To get into any of these esteemed schools, make sure to apply with a strong application. Components of an impressive application will include high school grades, ACT/SAT scores, IELTS/TOEFL scores, Letters Of Recommendation, personal essays, extracurriculars, etc. I suggest checking out the UniRely platform. Their mentors, already studying at your dream universities in the US, wil
